Christmas is a fantastic time for coffee shops to boost sales by offering additional products or services. It's a time when more people are out and about (and willing to indulge!) Our Brew Boffins have put together some ideas for you...

1. Offer a seasonal menu

A product with limited availability that’s made for the season is a great way to encourage existing customers to spend a little more and new customers to spend...

At this time of the year, people don’t just want a latte – they want a winter spice latte! Popular flavours for Christmas drinks include cinnamon, ginger, caramel, orange, fudget and toffee.

You can also spice up your food menu – introducing mince pies, candy canes and other festive favourites.

Check out our limited edition Christmas tea blends.

2. Organise a Christmas event

Organising a festive event is a great way to connect with your customers and get people through the door. As a coffee shop, you can play into the fact that Christmas is all about food and drink!

Hold a Christmas market, host a wreath making workshop or what about a Christmas movie screening? There are plenty of things you can do!

Other ideas might include Santa's Grotto, board games night, festive afternoon teas...

3. Set up an outside stall

During the festive period, people are constantly on the go. Set up a stall outside to tailor for those people who are too busy to stop & sit down. You can sell mulled wine, fresh coffee and other tasty treats. If they like what they taste, they’ll be back!

4. Run social media competitions

People spend tonnes of money at Christmas so they LOVE a free giveaway in December. You could run a competition on your Facebook, Twitter or Instagram page, asking people to share a photo of your food and drink offering and one lucky random winner will win a free dinner for two. And all the shares certainly won’t do your business any harm!
